12th Annual CHOCTAWHATCHEE BAY Old Nick’s Speckle Trout Shoot Out
May 26-June 3, 2012

June 4 at 6PM a fish fry will be held at Nick’s to recognize all participants. Prizes and awards will start at 7PM.

OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT
RULES & REGULATIONS

1. ENTRY FEE: Entry fee prior to tournament is $30. Entry fee during tournament is $35. No contestant may enter a fish in the same 24 hour period that their entry fee is paid. Entry fee must be paid at Nick’s Seafood Restaurant Highway 20 in Freeport, FL. Phone (850) 835-2222 or (850) 830-6161.
2. SPECKLE TROUT: All fish must be a minimum of 15 inches in length. Only one fish over 20 inches per day per person may be weighed-in. Hook and line only live or artificial bait. Cast nets or entanglement nets prohibited. Weigh-in at Nick’s between 10AM-1PM and 5PM-8PM daily. All fish must be fresh and properly iced; any fish in poor condition will be disqualified. (All live fish weighed-in will be released.) All fish brought to weigh-in are subject to judge’s discretion. Fish will be kept for inspection and any fish may be disqualified upon inspection. Participants must follow the rules and regulations of FL Fish & Wildlife Commission.
3. PRIZE MONEY:
100% PAYBACK ON LARGEST 5 FISH.
1st Place: 50% of entry fee
2nd Place: 20% of entry fee
3rd Place: 15% of entry fee
4th Place: 10% of entry fee
5th Place: 5% of entry fee
Door prizes/Gifts for places 6th – 10th
4. KIDS DIVISION: 12 yrs & under
Top 5 receive prizes and trophies
Daily Winner - Largest fish weighed in each day will receive a prize
5. CATFISH CLASSIC
Sponsored by: Take Stock in Children of Walton County (All Ages) Two Divisions: 12 & under and 13 and up.
12 and under all participants will be recognized, 13 and up receive prize money.
Optional for $10 Additional Entry Fee
Pay Out: 1st $300.00, 2nd $200.00, 3rd $ 100.00
Combined weight of catfish (saltwater species) Limited to 3 fish per day
12 and under dates: May 26th -June 3rd.
13 and Up dates: June 2nd and 3rd.
6. JR DIVISION: 13 – 17 yrs old
Top 3 receive prizes and trophies
7. REDFISH DIVISION: < 17 yrs old
Total Weight of Redfish between 18”-27” for the entire tournament, One per day.
8. WKEND WARRIOR CALCUTTA:
Optional for $25 Additional Entry Fee
Total weight of your best 5 speckled trout, longer than 20” and shorter than 24” total length (20” - 23.99”). Only fish caught and weighed in on the dates of May 26, 26, 28, and June 2 and 3 will be eligible. Only 1 fish over 20” per day per person may be weighed-in.
PAY OUT: 1st - 50% 2nd - 30% 3rd - 20%
9. LEONARD SMITH SPECIAL:
Optional for $20 Additional Entry Fee
Total weight of your best 4 speckled trout, longer than 15” and shorter than 20” total length (15” - 19.99”). Only fish caught and weighed in on June 2 will be eligible.
PAY OUT: 1st - 50% 2nd - 30% 3rd - 20%
10. WRAP UP:
June 4 at 6PM a fish fry will be held at Nick’s to recognize all participants. Prizes and awards will start at 7PM.

ONLY 1 FISH PER CONTESTANT WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE LEADER BOARD.
ALL CONTESTANTS ARE SUBJECT TO A POLYGRAPH TEST.
