    Who are the candidates?

I notice that quite a few candidates have qualified to run for county offices and very few of them have published anything about themselves. I'm not a native of Walton County so I don't know many of these people. I've even looked on Facebook and a couple of candidates that have profiles hide their information from the public. If people have something to hide they ought not to run for office.

You sure aren't going to find out anything about the candidates on this site.

How about letting us know what details you'd like to know about candidates and what questions you'd like to ask? For candidates who don't post here we'll submit the list directly to them.

This web site lists candidates for county and local offices and committees/PACs.

Guess that answers the question about whether or not this site will answer questions about the candidates.

Candidates are advised to stay off of anonymous blogs.

They may post an announcement but that is about all they are advised to do.

You don't look anonymous. Who's advising?

I post under my real name.

Any candidate that hires a campaign manager. That is my experience as a candidate.

    Who is Sowal Staff ?

The last I heard, advise meant just that, advise. For those running for office, it is necessary and proper to use any means at their disposal to further a positive result to their candidacy. Common sense goes a long way in how you run for an office, IMHO.

Common sense tells one that aspires to political office to stay away from anonymous blogs.

Tin foil hats abound during campaign season.

    Any means?

SoWal.com/staff - not everyone uses this log in though, just a few loyal servants.

Who gives them this advice? I noticed that a school board member announced that he is running. Maybe the tooth fairy gives elected officials advice.

I can understand why they may be encouraged to avoid anonymous blogs. Think about it, folks could get on here and make some outlandish accusations. Those that choose to remain anonymous don't have to own their words.

Folks are going to make outlandish accusations either way. Unfortunately mud-slinging has become ingrained in our political process. But I would just as soon respond rather than let the slingers go unanswered.

I originally announced I was running for office on this and other sites and the response has been very positive.

Running for public office in Waton County isn't on my bucket list but if it were to run I doubt that I'd take advice from local Republican political wanabees.
