Learn Japanese

We here at Compass Rose Academy are so excited to be offering our new Learn Japanese program! DJ-sensei has provided us with such a unique opportunity to offer the community and we cannot wait to get started! Our goal for the Learn Japanese program is to enable beginners of all ages to become knowledgeable about the cultural background of Japan necessary to understand the basics of the language, and to learn common vocabulary, phrases, and the basics of sentence structure. By the end of the class, students should be able to hold short conversations in Japanese!

About Our Sensei
DJ-sensei is a graduate of the UWF Japan Exchange Program, the former president of their Japanese Culture Club, and teacher of three years in Japan through the Japanese Exchange Teaching (JET) Program. While in Japan, DJ-sensei taught English to Elementary and Middle school students at 5 schools in the Gero-Onsen school district, a city famous for its natural hot-springs. He holds a certificate for passing the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), level 3.

Summer Session
7 Weeks

Intro Classes - Wednesdays
K – 2nd @ 3:00pm
3rd – 6th @ 4:00pm
7th – Adult @ 5:00pm

2nd Step Classes - Tuesdays
K – 2nd @ 3:00pm
3rd – 6th @ 4:00pm
7th – Adult @ 5:00pm

Week of June 12th to Week of July 31st

Each Class Is 1 Hour Long!
Cost: $210 For The Summer
