Adopt-A-County Highway Article

I am alittle irritated with Cecilia Jones today. A story in the Defuniak Springs paper gave her credit for setting up an Adopt-A-County Highway program recently. The thing that I am bothered by is that The Friends of 30A organization has tried to get Ms. Jones to assist them in setting up a similar program for 30A for more than three years now. On numerous occasions she told members of the group (who will verify if necessary), that their request was "not feasible".

Two observations... The idea was not hers...she came along kicking and screaming.
Also, is it just a coincidence that it was done right before the election?

Maybe we should have candidates stand for election every six months or so. Might be possible to get them to move quicker on things if they are always up for election.

Councilwoman Jones was very responsive to my request that the county not mow down the Wildflowers in front of my property. The road department even put up signs saying. "Wildflower area do not mow."We are very pleased at this step in the right direction.
