A calming effect
For several years I have watched my clients come in our office for labs or vaccines, in varying states of anxiety. So much unnecessary suffering! With that in mind, I decided to start offering natural calming techniques to help folks to relax. Initially, I offered to teach “belly breathing” which effects the autonomic nervous system to produce a calm state. It amazed me how many clients were so nervous that they couldn't focus on their breath. I then decided to make it very easy. Six months ago, I started putting a drop of lavender oil (a natural calming agent) on a tissue for them to breathe. The results have been 100% positive (where can you get odds like that?). Every client stated that they felt calmer and they experienced less pain because they weren't as anxious. Even children have told me they felt very little pain after breathing the lavender for just a moment or two. For those clients that are sensitive to scents, this probably won't be an option, but for everyone else, I think it's a kindness we can provide. I almost always offer it and most folks are willing and grateful to have that option. If you find that getting lab work or vaccines causes you to get uncomfortably anxious, give ProHealth a try next time. We know that what we do can be harrowing for many and we hope offering this technique can help. We're located at 1131 Mack Bayou Rd. SRB or you can call us at 850-267-0360.
Take care and be safe
