Rolling Stones Louisville Sept. 29th!
Gitcher butt up here BR...
Just announced. 50,000 tix go on sale Monday- $60 to $300. And this is a first- concert will be at Churchill Downs. Stage will be set on a concrete slab inside the track that is normally used for Oaks/Derby seating. The track itself will aslo be used for seating (I imagine the $300 seats) and the grandstand and clubhouse wll be the rest of the seats.
I'm still trying to figure out this venue- apparently the Stones approached Churchill Downs

COOL!!! These old guys just keep on going!
I saw them in Atlanta about 10 years ago...I thouhgt they would be finished touring soon after...so I wanted to see them at least once....here they are still on the road....still "on track"

that sounds so cool! How far is it from Nashville? I tried to see them in Madrid a few years ago but it was sold out! I would love to see them. $60 dollars isn't that bad.

Very cool idea for the venue. Last year I saw Jimmy Buffett at Wrigley Field - also a first and it was his idea (and apparently it took years for him to talk Cubs management and the City Council into it.) It was an awesome place for him to play (and they just released the DVD of the concert - bought it but haven't watched it yet.)

Tempting - I'd love to see them again. I wish hadn't missed them in Atlanta.
