Anyone still in SoWal at this time?
If so, where specifically and what are the conditions? TV coverage is showing Destin and P'cola.

Re: Anyone still in SoWal at this time?
Kurt's last post was at 7:33 AM, so I guess he's either lost power or lost his ISP. Or maybe decided to leave? Smiling JOe's last post was at 10:11 AM, so I guess he's still there. chrisv's last post was at 8:55. Those are a few who said they were staying.

We're still hunkered down near Grayton on Western Lake. Power, telephones, internet all are fine. We had to turn the TV off. It was scarier than the storm. The lake has risen dramatically over the past hour but is still at a reasonable level. Winds are still strong from the north. I'm keeping a watch on the lake level when the wind shifts to the south.

The lake is getting agitated - still rising. Electricity has flickered a few times - not sure how much longer we'll have power. I'll report back in an hour if I can.

Thanks for the updates! We play in our church's string ensemble every Sunday, and our minister said a prayer for those who are currently in the area or have property near the hurricane track. So did I. :'(

High winds and heavy rain in the Mack Bayou area. We still have power,
and cable service. Someone reported on the radio that the water from the bay was over HWY 20. Thank you Gulf Power!

We still have electricity near Grayton. Lake is continuing to rise - it's lapping the sides of Lloyd's house and might be in the swimming pool of Little Easy. I've got about 2 to 3 ft before it enters our home. Yikes -
It's windy and rainy too. Wind has shifted to the south and docks are starting to float around.

Once again, you guys are invaluable! I Have several clients with homes and they have been calling me. Im in Marianna, GA, so I just referred them to the board. The more the merrier, right. Thank you guys so much for caring enough to post in this horrible time that we're going through. I do have an issue that I'd like some input on once this is over about how the "approved" builders at Seacrest Beach left their construction sites and put all of our homes at risk - but later, when everyone is safe. My prayers are with those that stayed behind. Thank you!!!!!

Is Smiling JOe OK? He hasn't posted since 10:11 AM. Hopefully it's just that he has no Internet service.
