7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? hearing santa's sleigh bells on Christmas Eve at grandma's house. time to get home and in bed! hurry! Also, another funny memory is listening to cars drive up my driveway late christmas eve night, and my sis and I watching out the window as "stuff" was unloaded from various car trunks (cars owned by aunts, uncles, etc) there were four of us - and no room to store the big stuff.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? My older girl cousin. But we never admitted that we knew the truth – we were in severe denial until high school and beyond.

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Growing up we celebrated Christmas with my grandparents and opened lots of gifts at their house. But, now we open gifts on Christmas day at our own home. (sometimes we’ll open gifts a week or so before Christmas if family comes into town)

10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? Lots of ornaments collected over the years, large color lights, german candles with hanging apples – very eclectic! Don’t give me a themed department store tree or I’ll just die!

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? They are all so wonderful – no one gift was a favorite. I did like the Barbie dolls a lot though.

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Going out in search for the biggest and most beautiful Christmas tree ever! A wonderful sowal tradition is seeing the incredible lights in DeFuniak Springs, also touring Eden Gardens. Watching Rudolph!

I just wanted to add another memory or two. There's a picture of my brother and I when we were about 2 & 4 years old. We had a little doggie pull toy in the bed between us. That was our "alarm clock" to wake us up when Santa came.

We always went to my grandparents on Christmas Eve and stayed pretty late. On the way home we would look for Santa and any red light we saw was Rudolph!

5. When do you put your decorations up? I start the day after Thanksgiving and finish up the week after. I do 3 or 4 peoples trees usually. First come first serve! This year it is the church, the mother-in-law, and mine so far. My friend is not putting one up this year so I have an opening
