Stinky's Fish Camp
It is what it is, and it ain’t what it ain’t!
Stinky’s Fish Camp is a SoWal icon run by a trio of partner chefs, Jim Richard, Todd Misener and Brannon Janca. The team brings good vibes to South Walton with the same caliber of great food and wine you would expect from their sister restaurants, Stinky’s Bait Shack next door, Trebeache in Blue Mountain Beach, and Treneasse in New Orleans.
The menu at Stinky’s Fish Camp shines a spotlight on seafood with a little New Orleans flair. The Chum Line Oyster bar has oysters any way you like them. Lunch at Stinky’s is all about the handhelds, with poboys galore, along with soups, salads and interesting apps, like the much raved about Crawfish Pie.
Dinner time is when the chef’s really exercise their creative muscles, with goodies like Stinky’s Stew, shrimp, mussels, fish, oysters and snow crab legs with corn, potatoes, tomatoes, a basil butter broth and a wedge of shrimp poboy. For a little turf, opt for Braised Short Ribs with stone ground pepperjack cheese grits and baby green beans.
Sunday Brunch brings benedicts, beignets, and house made andouille. It’s also where you can get one of the best Bloody Mary’s in SoWal…it comes with pickled okra, green beans and a shrimp! Brunch is served with live music by The Steeno's and Washboard Jackson usually joins them for a great jam.
Good eats aren’t the only thing the Chefs are cooking up. Stinky’s is all about good times, too. The guys love to gather friends old and new at their many events throughout the year. Whether they’re hosting Stinky’s Fishing Tournament, throwing a party with live music, or putting on an Oyster festival, there’s always some fun to be had.
Watch for some of SoWal's best local events and music coming to Stinky's Fish Camp throughout the year, including the April Fools Anniversary Bash, Pompano Fishing Tournament, Mardi Gras Crawfish Fest, New Year's Day celebration, Earth Day, End of Summer Locals Party, Pig Pickins, and special music guests at the restaurant and Bait Shack.
Right next door to Stinky’s Fish Camp sits Stinky’s Bait Shack. While you wait for at table at the restaurant (it IS first come, first served-no reservations accepted), head over to The Bait Shack for drinks and apps and some of the coolest gear you’ll find at the beach. Grab t-shirts, gifts, bait, and even ukuleles while you’re there.
Stinky’s Fish Camp is located on the quiet end of Scenic 30A in Dune Allen. The restaurant is open daily for lunch, dinner and drinks. Enjoy Sunday Brunch, live music, festivals and fishing tournaments throughout the year. To find out more and see the menu, visit www.stinkysfishcamp.com.
