50th Annual Florida Seafood Festival
The Florida Seafood Festival is a two day event annually drawing tens of thousands of visitors to the historic town of Apalachicola in scenic Franklin County. The Festival is held at the mouth of the Apalachicola river under the shady oaks of Apalachicola's Battery Park.
The festival features delicious seafood, arts and crafts exhibits, seafood related events, and musical entertainment. Some of the notable events include Oyster Eating and Oyster Shucking contest, Blue Crab Races, Photo Contest, Parade, 5K Redfish Run, The Blessing of the Fleet , History of the Festival Exhibit, Fireworks Show and King Retsyo's Ball.

Friday November 1
10:00 a.m. | Park Opens ( No Admission Charge)
4:00 p.m. | Blessing of the Fleet
4:00 p.m. | Arrival of King Retsyo and Miss Florida Seafood 2013
5:00-10:30 p.m. | Musical Entertainment (stay tuned for updates)
9:00 p.m. | King Retsyo Ball ( Fort Coombs Armory)
10:30 p.m. | Park Closes
Saturday November 2
7:00 a.m. | Registration for Redfish Run ( Front Steps of Gibson Inn)
8:00 a.m. | Start of Redfish Run
10:00 a.m. | Gates Open ($5.00 admission charge & kids under 12 free)
10:00 a.m. | Parade Starts (Hwy 98)
1:00-5:00 p.m. | Blue Crab Races (at the Top of Each Hour) (kids under 12)
1:00 p.m. | Oyster Shucking Contest
1:15 p.m. | Oyster Eating Contest
8:00 p.m. | Headline Entertainment (TBD) Followed by Fireworks Display
11:00 p.m. | Park Closes
