Dismal Creek @ Eden Gardens State Park Camellia Festival
The Friends of Eden Gardens are hosting the annual Camellia Festival on Saturday, Feb. 20 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Eden Gardens State Park in Point Washington. Floral demonstrations and presentations will be held throughout the day, and live music will be provided by local bluegrass band Dismal Creek (live music from noon til 2pm)!
Visitors are invited to stroll through beautiful camellias in full bloom throughout the park. Camellias, air layered from Eden Gardens plants, will be available for purchase from the nursery. Come spend time in the gardens with your family and friends for the annual Eden Gardens State Park Camellia Festival.
Hailing from the Florida Alabama line, these four musicians come from a strong line of southern tradition and hospitality. Influenced by the early bluegrass music of Bill Monroe, Flatt and Scruggs, and the Stanley Brothers, they come ready to pick till the cows come home. They bring a lively stage presence and embrace the formal style of the forefathers of the genre that they love. http://dismalcreek.com/
This community event is free with free admission to the park. Donations made to the Friends of Eden are appreciated. Eden Gardens State Park is located bayside in Point Washington north of US Hwy 98 via CR 395. Learn more at SoWal.com Parks Guide | Eden Gardens State Park.
