Spend the morning touring Peach Creek by kayak with guide Karl Renelt OCT 9 from 9-11:30am.
Launch from Eden Gardens State Park, paddling Tucker Bayou to Peach Creek. Discussion topics will include marsh ecosystems and local history, including building of the Intracoastal Waterway, logging on the Choctawhatchee River, and turpentine industry.
Moderate or higher exertion level, depending on wind conditions. Participants are asked to bring at least a quart of water, snacks if desired, forecast-compatible clothing, and personal comfort items (i.e. sunscreen, bug spray, etc.).
Kayak rental is included in the $60 cost. Paddleboards available upon request. If you bring your own craft, pay $40 for the tour. Separate park entry fee is $5. Space is limited to 8 participants. Minimum of 4.
