When: Thursday, November 19, 2015
Time: 6:00 pm to 8:45 pm

A telethon will be aired by 30A TV at 723 Whisky Bravo in Seagrove Beach on Nov 19 to benefit the now under construction Pierce Family Children’s Advocacy Center in Walton County. This center, slated to open in the spring of 2016, will be a part of the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center (ECCAC), based in Niceville, Florida.

The telethon’s initial airing on 30A TV will take place Thursday, November 19, from 6 to 9 p.m. with ECCAC’s board of directors, staff and volunteers answering phones. With the purpose of creating awareness and raising funds for the Pierce Family Center, the telethon will feature interviews with locals, entertainment, cooking demonstrations, information about the Children’s Advocacy Center, and more, and will continue to run periodically through the end of 2015.

30A TV reaches over ½ million households in its viewing area between Walton and Franklin Counties in Northwest Florida offering beach information and entertainment. Viewers with Mediacom’s Ch 17, Fox 28 in Panama City Beach, Brighthouse Ch 24, Charter Cable Ch 80, Fairpoint Ch 8, or Roku can tune in. As well, the telethon will be streaming live on www.30Atv.com.

Silver Sands Premium Outlets is the title sponsor of the telethon. Additional TV sponsorships are available for $750. For more information, contact 30A TV by emailing 30atelevision@gmail.com, or call 1-877-302-8848, Ext. 701.

ECCAC’s mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect, protect children in Okaloosa and Walton Counties, and restore the lives and futures of these impacted children. The Center’s child-friendly facility in Niceville houses a multidisciplinary team of child protection personnel, prosecutors, law enforcement, DCF, therapists, and ECCAC staff and volunteers. When completed, the Pierce Family Center will also offer the same personnel and services for Walton County children. Services are provided at no cost by ECCAC, a 501-C-3 non-profit organization.

For further information about the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center, visit www.eccac.org. If abuse is suspected, call the anonymous Florida Abuse Hotline at 1-800-96-ABUSE.
