Walton County Coastal Library with Escape to Create will host award-winning fiction writer Vanessa Blakeslee on Jan 17, 10:00 a.m. Blakeslee will share a reading and conversation with coffee and light refreshments served. Please join us.
Her short story collection Train Shots won the 2014 IPPY Gold Medal in Short Fiction and is long-listed for the 2014 Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award. Train Shots is optioned for feature film development. Blakeslee’s debut novel, Juventud, was awarded the 2015 IPPY Bronze medal in Fiction, was Finalist for the 2015 INDIEFAB Book of the Year Award and long-listed for the SIBA Award / Pat Conroy Southern Book Prize.
Blakeslee is an artist in residence at Escape to Create 2017, Seaside, Florida.

Stop in to see works of a local artist on display each month. The library is located at 437 Greenway Trail off Hwy. 331 South. Open Monday-Friday 9am - 8pm. Closed Saturday and Sunday. All residents and property owners of Walton County are eligible for a free library card. Nonresidents are eligible for a library card for an annual fee of $35.
