MKAF Labor Day Concert in The Village: Make Me Smile Chicago Tribute Band
Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation celebrates Labor Day weekend with a Concerts in the Village show on Sunday, Sep. 3 featuring Make Me Smile, a 10-piece ensemble performing a tribute to the legendary band, Chicago. Bring a lawn chair, picnic and wine or purchase soft drinks and dinner prepared by a featured restaurant or food trucks on site. The concert takes place on Sunday, Sep. 3 at the MKAF Cultural Arts Village from 7-9pm.
General admission tickets are $25. MKAF members are $20 and children (12 and under) are free. A limited number of VIP Tables are available to MKAF members for the concert season. Fall Concerts in the Village continue with four shows on Thursdays from September 14 through October 5.
Festival of the Arts will return the Village Green for the 22nd annual edition and Sunday October 28 and 29.
And wrapping up the season is the beloved tradition of Sounds of Season, a joyful collaboration of several local community choirs and choral groups set for Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m at Village Baptist Church in Destin.
Popular fundraising traditions again will be hosted including the 7th Annual Celebrity Server Luncheon at Bonefish Grill in Destin in August and the 5th Annual Ruth’s Chris Wine Walkabout in Destin on Nov. 16. Proceeds from fundraising events benefit MKAF and its arts education outreach programs.
