PCB Scottish Festival & Highland Games at Frank Brown Park
Mark your calendars, the 26th Annual Panama City Beach Scottish Festival will be at Frank Brown Park on March 3, 2018! Feel free to bring your hats, sunglasses and folding chairs. This event includes: Scottish Athletic Competitions, Scottish Clan Reps, Bagpipe Bands, British Car Club Show, Children's Activities, Scottish & Irish Food, Irish Step Dancers & more!
The Scottish Highland Games are the modern continuation of an ancient Celtic tradition. Highland Games were held long ago by the clans of Northern Scotland but began far earlier among the Celts of Ireland during Roman times. Some credit the 11th century Scottish king Malcolm Canmore with initiating the first Highland Games. Each event tests the athlete’s strength as well as skill and technique.
2018 events Include: Tossing of the Caber, Stone of Strength, Braemer Stone, Scottish Hammer, Weight for Height, Sheaf Toss, The Farmer’s Walk
