South Walton Witches ride every year on Halloween morning along Scenic 30A West with around 200 women participating in the bike ride and brunch for a wicked time supporting Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN). Learn more: witchesofsouthwalton.com

The number of witches has grown to well over 200 local women who sport witchy costumes and decorated “broom cycles,” while casting their spell on spectators and cackling along the Scenic 30A. Last year just over 200 witches participated in the ride and brunch, raising $9,000 and making magic for Children’s Volunteer Health Network (CVHN).

If you are traveling down the west end of Scenic 30A on Halloween morning you might hear the cackling of the Witches of South Walton. These local women will be dressed in their most bewitching outfits and riding their decorated bikes in the festive spirit of a fun Halloween morning. Starting off as a small group of women having a little Halloween fun, this event has grown into a favorite local event for many women in South Walton, Florida.

Help support CVHN, have your bike tuned up and decorated, wear your witchiest costume, and join the Witches of South Walton for a frightful time this Halloween on Scenic 30A. For more information visit www.witchesofsouthwalton.com and be sure to follow Witches of South Walton on Facebook for updates, photos and cackles.

Children's Volunteer Health Network, Inc. (CVHN) is a faith-based 501(c)(3) organization, established in 2005 in response to Walton and Okaloosa County's large population of low income families who are unable to access high quality health services due to the unavailability (or inadequacy) of insurance. The mission of CVHN is to improve the health and well-being of children in need. CVHN strives towards this mission by utilizing a network of over 95 local volunteer physicians, dentists and other healthcare providers. CVHN also operates the 'Just for Grins' Mobile Dental Clinic that visits local elementary schools and other non-profits, and the CVHN Dental Clinic in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. All services are free to kids enrolled in school in Walton and Okaloosa Counties who are on the free or reduced lunch programs. CVHN has facilitated more than 75,000 free procedures since inception. More than 17,000 children have been helped resulting in over $5.5 million in free health services provided to our community. CVHN spends 94 cents of every dollar on its programs. The vision of CVHN is for all God’s children to be healthy, happy and see their futures as limitless. Until that day there is more work to be done.
