The 16th annual Sacred Heart Charity Golf Classic takes place Monday, May 8 and includes a Spring Bash on May 7 to kick off the annual signature fundraising event and celebrate the growth of Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.

The two-day event will kick off with the Charity Golf Classic ‘Spring Bash’ on Sunday, May 7 at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa. This year’s party will not disappoint and will include live music, heavy hors d’oeuvres and a live and silent auction. The 2017 tournament will tee off on Monday, May 8th at Emerald Bay Golf and Beach Club in Destin, Florida.

Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast has been a vibrant part of serving residents and visitors on the Emerald Coast over the past 14 years. Our local hospital has grown steadily to serve the needs of the community, and the players and supporters of the annual Charity Golf Classic have been an integral part of this success. Since 2002, the tournament has raised more than $3 million for various expansion efforts, including the Olson Women’s Diagnostic Center, The Family Birth Place, The Judy & Steve Turner Heart, Vascular Center and Cancer Center and is currently fulfilling a pledge to the Second Century Campaign – Emergency Department expansion. We invite you to join us at the 16th Annual Sacred Heart Charity Golf Classic as we continue to build on the legacy of this signature fundraising event.

Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast is nearly finished with the building phase of a major expansion to increase capacity for inpatient services, emergency services, maternity services, and pediatric services. The expansion is a great testament to the community’s continued support to expand access to high quality, compassionate healthcare close to home. In support of this endeavor, the Charity Golf Classic committee will direct the proceeds from this signature fundraising event over the next three years to support the Emergency Department expansion. Last year, more than 33,000 patients were served in the hospital’s Emergency Department. Over 70% of the admissions to the hospital come in through the emergency department. This expansion will include the addition of thirteen new patient rooms benefiting all who live, work and play in our community.
