The 7th Annual New Leaf Market Farm Tour is happening Oct. 26 from 10am-4pm at Twin Oaks Farm in Bonifay. Two guided farm tours will take place at 11am and 1pm.
On Farm Tour day, enjoy a close look at their thriving apiary, Big Black Hogs (the first litter of piglets is growing very fast), Rhode Island Red hens that produce the #1 eggs in the country according to the Cornucopia Institute Eggs Score Card, and gentle Gulf Coast Sheep. Learn more about how organic sustainable farming helps raise healthy animals giving them the space and the life they are supposed to have.
Ducks, geese, turkeys, donkeys will all be roaming freely on pasture and ready for photo-ops. Stop at the unique Bistro under the Oak and enjoy delicious all organic and farm produced food. The shop will be open with a whole cornucopia of goodies!
Twin Oaks Farm is a certified organic farm located on 94 acres in Holmes County that raises heritage chickens, ducks, lambs and pigs on pasture, the old fashioned way. The farm produces a whole line of artisan food using organic and local ingredients made in small batches for authentic flavor.
