Guest Speaker: D. Bruce Means, PhD, President and Executive Director Coastal Plains Institute and Land Conservancy; Adjunct Professor Department of Biological Science, Florida State University  

Topic: Walton County Biodiversity: The Wonderful World of Its Animals, Plants, and Ecosystems.

Learn details of Walton County's diverse ecosystem. Professor Means' presentation will focus on how the biodiversity of Walton County fits into the larger picture of the Biodiversity Hotspot that is the Florida Panhandle.  Lively discussion of Walton County's animal and plant life--and its exquisite and rare ecosystems--will be featured with color photos. 

Professor Means will be available to sell and sign his books, including Priceless Florida, Natural Ecosystems and Native Species.

Open to the public and free of charge; Thursday, September 27th, at 7:00 PM at the
Walton County Coastal Branch Library.
