30A Songwriter Coffee will host local music icon, Franco "Washboard" Jackson Art Show of Shows on Saturday, Nov. 4th from 7-9pm with live entertainment by the Red Rocket duo.
Franko “Washboard” Jackson is not only a much sought after musician, but is also a folk artist of some note. His artwork is as rustic, folksy and colorful as his music. Long a member of the legendary South Walton band Hubba Hubba, he has worked with and started a number of bands in SoWal. His music is part rock, part New Orleans, part soul. When Jackson started painting in 2002, he was encouraged and influenced by Billie Gaffrey, Justin Gaffrey, and Woodie Long. He has painted images from his life: family, friends, his dog and sometimes his cat, and musicians he admires.
