Ignoring zoning codes to the detriment of ones neighbors to make a quick buck is not only short sighted but deplorable. All I can say is I am glad that those who don't see a problem with this aren't my neighbors.

It takes away from the ambience of a nice dining experience for one. Also, not everyone likes sports. I for one prefer not to have to look at something I dislike while I am paying for a meal. There are plenty of sports bars for those that do.

I am sure they are nice people Franny, but the bottom line is their property is not being used as it was zoned and many locals don't appreciate living next to a continious wedding party. I am pleased to see that the county has been enforcing the law and agree completely with Andy.

Have you ever attempted to shop for groceries at a Walmart? Publix has absolutely nothing to worry about there. If you shop publix's buy one get one sales you can make out like a bandit while enjoying smiling, pleasant employees in a clean and organized enviroment. ;)

For me South Walton is Scenic 30a from the Gulf of Mexico then north up to and including Pt. Washington. Sandestin and Miramar are don't count as they are way more like suburbs of Destin. Inlet beach is mentally more Bay County for me... I am with Lake View Too for the most part... :)

Sounds like a great idea! Having the volunteer citizens patrol giving parking tickets for wedding houses frees the real police for real emergencies and real police work while still enforcing the existing land use codes! Win/Win situation if you ask me! ;)

Thats part of the problem though Kurt, as the total price is often an unknown until you get the final bill due to undisclosed charges and gratuities. A bit more transperency on the restaurants side is needed.
