Dune lake DVD for sale yet?

I'm looking forward to getting a DVD of the Elam Stoltzfus dune lake film. Is it on sale now? If so, who is stocking it in SoWal?

    See ya later...

After 11 years, we've packed the moving van and driven off into the sunset. Literally. It's been a lot of fun (or as the SoWal forum oldtimers useta say, "funn"). In no particular order, I'll miss: -My home beach near Eastern Lake -The daily air show, courtesy of Eglin and Tyndall...

    Recommend a moving service?

Anybody care to share a recommendation for a moving service? By the time of the move, I will have done the bulk of the packing myself. Everything will then need to get loaded in the truck, moved out of town, and unloaded at the destination. Not sure yet whether I will hand it over as a...

    Anybody need a few Euros?

I've got about 92 Euros. You can have them for the current exchange rate of 0.73 E = $1.00 which works out to $125 in round figures. That'll keep you from getting nicked about 18% at the airport exchange, so you'll come out over 20 bucks ahead. Not going back in the near future, so I'll be...

    Cell service reliability

Hi all, sorry to ask this for what must be the 57th time on SoWal. But, I'd like to get current info. I live near Eastern Lake. Having serious problems with incoming calls going direct to voice mail for several weeks now. Anyone else having similar issues? Anyone along this stretch...

Water leak gushing - who does property mgmt for Summers Edge/Chelsea Loop

One of the houses there has a burst pipe. I was hoping to call the owners, but... I looked it up on the county website, and the owner is an LLC. So, who does the neighborhood property management for Ryan St. and Chelsea loop?

    Clothing alterations

I need someone to hem pants. Quite a lot of pants, actually, 6 or 7 pairs. Recommendations? And on a side note, if the word "pants" is plural, then is a single pant just one leg and one side of the seat?

    Sprint cell service problems

Yesterday, about 11AM, my phone dropped a call. Since then, it's been really difficult to make a call out or receive a call. No bars, or just one or two bars. Only roaming works. The other Sprint phone in the house has the same problem, so it seems to be network, not my phone. Home is...

    Record rainfall?

Does anyone have a link to a site that shows the record high year for rainfall year-to-date? I can find plenty that show the rainfall average by month, but not the highest year, either overall or through the current date. I'm trying to find out if we've had a record year so far. And, if...

Disposing of old paint and similar items

I've got a bunch of old, partially used cans of paint. Also some carpet adhesive, spackle, and other similar items. It needs to go away now, and can't wait on the next Hazardous Waste day. Will the Walton Co. dump accept it? Looking at the county website, it looks like they only want to...

    Patio Joe's trailer in Watercolor

I was looking at a web site for a company that does restoration and renovation on vintage travel trailers and saw photos of a great looking job they did for Watercolor. Palm tree in dumpster

In the work that's underway at Commodore's Retreat, they have had to remove a palm tree to make room for what looks like a water or gas main. It's there in the dumpster. I have no idea if they'd object to someone taking it, but it IS in the dumpster, isn't it? Nice healthy one, probably 12...

    Recommendations for clothing alteration/repair

    Delta to eliminate ECP-to-Memphis flights

What's happening on Santa Clara Drive

in Seagrove. I've been watching it for several weeks now. At first, it looked like maybe utility work. Drove in there today and there's a major project underway. Curbs, sidewalks, parking. Is this spillover for the walkover on the other side of 30A?

Eastern Lake oil berm cleared, lake open

It looks like the work was done today, the equipment is still out there. I don't know if they opened the lake, too, or if it opened from the rain. The berm had drain tubes in it, so it seems unlikely that removing it led to the lake opening. Now there's a big pile of sand. I'm sorta...
