What's the surf doing to the beach? It is hard to tell from the beach cams. Are we going to lose stairs again or just sand?

There is a lot of time for this thing to move east or west of us. The good news is they are only predicting it to be a Cat 1 when it comes ashore.

Let's hope it keeps drifting west of us. It looks like we are going to to storm surge and beach erosion for sure.

I do all of our rentals via VRBO and a couple of other sites. We have a management company, Swantree Concierge that handles all the other aspects of the house- cleaning, maintenance etc. It works great for us.

The beaches in Seagrove are much quieter it seems. We like to sit on our beach and walk over to Seaside when we want some "action"

2011 was a record year for us, and it looks like 2012 will be even better.

It is always a great time for someone to sell or buy something. Individuals have to make that decision, they cannot blame anyone else on their decisions and motivations. If they do not do the research, and make careful thougthful decisions they have no one to blame but themselves. Not realtos...

Shelly- Why do you keep refering to them as hapless buyers? These are grown ups for god's sake, they had a choice to buy or not to buy, regradless of what a real estate agent or anyone else told them. It's getting old hearing the same old thing.

We are starting to get requests for the Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas) and next summer. No requests for discounts have been asked. I believe we will have a strong summer next year since so many people stayed away.

I love the feeling of serenity I feel when I wake up in the morning and sit with my coffee and look out over the Gulf.

We've done quite well. Our spring was better than previous years. Had to give some discounts for a couple of weeks in summer, but we have booked up and now the fall is looking quite promising.

My 2 cents is stay away from GE refrigerators. I have had nothing but trouble with them for the last 5-6 years. 3 of them, that's 3 that have all had some kind of problems, or have had to be replaced.
