Thanks for the additional info. We ended up scheduling transportation through Black Taxi. Good info to know though about Uber. We use Uber occasionally when we go out in the evening there & got stranded last year. Fortunately there was someone back at the beach house that hadn't been drinking...
In my opinion these signs are as ugly as the trash that gets left behind. When I see one of these signs, I want to drape my towel over it & set up my chair on the private side of the beach sign.
I finally got around to doing this last week & highly recommend it. Five of us went on the Wine & Cheese Cruise and all agreed that it was the best evening of vacation. A nice selection of Wines & Cheeses. Captain Rex & First Mate Josh were fantastic hosts. A very relaxing evening of...
Dining: I second Louis, Louis and Local Catch. Also like Great Southern and The Marigny.
For cocktails... you have to go to Bud & Alley's for a drink at sunset.
You are right! I was there last week & it was the crowded I've ever seen it for October. We kept saying it looked like the Jersey shore at the public beach. The weather couldn't of been better though! October is my favorite time to visit.
I agree with the Louis Louis suggestion. Local Catch is also good - like their fish & shrimp tacos. I haven't had dinnner yet at Fire but their breakfast & lunch rocks!

We have rented all 3 units of La Corte Beach House several times. I highly recommend it.

A very old thread but my guess is that some of the info may still be relevant (other than the prices).

Agreed! And the other fans cheering for the other games was distracting. But I was glad I got to watch the game. And I enjoyed an extremely yummy burger and wine while watching it.
Thanks JMT & Skunkape! I watched the Steeler game at Shoo Mama's a couple weeks ago. They have a great setup but I missed having the sound. And it would of been nice to be with other Steeler fans.
