First new place of this order since Pescado to open in South Walton, as I recall. How is it?

Haven't tried the place yet. What do you guys think? Is it popular? That space it's in has been a "black hole" for restaurants in the past.

They're staying on 331. I hate that bigtime. I went there a few weeks ago, and the food was the same, but the clientele was VERY different. Crude, drunk redneck trash and families with kids. In other words, like eating out in Panama City. I'll not be going there nearly as often as I went to the...

At first it was "early spring", then July, now September. Sounds like they're done. Obviously their whole team has scattered and taken other jobs. I'm sure there will be a restaurant in that space, but I'll miss V.

Does that mean June? July? Whatever, it sucks. Is there even any work going on as far as the "hotel construction"?

New place in the old Commander's Palace location in Destin. I just heard about it, but it's been open for a month already.

Hardly surprising, considering PC's redneck tourist demographic. Fine dining establishments and PC do not go together.

Grayton Bar and Grill- Anybody been yet? I know they're open now. Odd that the website is still not up though.

I saw an ad for this place in the new issue of Vie. Beautiful dining room pictured in the ad. Their website is not completely up yet. Anybody here know anything about this place?

I went there a few weeks after their opening, which I think was in 2008? I know they have a different chef now.

I was not a fan of Chops, after it moved from Destin. I loved the restaurant in both of its old locations in Destin, but it was not nearly as good in the SoWal locale, IMO. How is Seagrill? The menu just looks "O.K." to me, nothing extraordinary.

I went in last night, and decided to go elsewhere because they no longer had full bar, and I wanted a martini. I asked my server what was going on and he just mumbled "we're closing...to relocate. This is our last night." Anybody heard anything about this?

I can't find a single soul who's eaten there. Once I walked in and it was empty, which scared me away. I just went around the corner to Seagar's, which is always fine.

Their website announces today as the opening date. Should be excellent food, with Tim Creehan overseeing it. I'm looking forward to it. I REALLY miss the old opulent Beach Walk. The new "small production" Beach Walk isn't the same.

I liked it the one time I went last year, but they have a new chef now. Any good?

Their site indicates they'll open in "early March", but no date is given. I wonder why they don't have a liquor licence, while Stinky's does? Makes zero sense.

Highly recommended. Exact same menu that it had under Creehan. Glad to have it back, and hope the new owner can make it a success.

They've been open a few weeks now, but I don't know anyone who's tried it. I used to love the old reastaurant, especially before Creehan took it over. He didn't ruin it, but it was better without his changes to the original menu.

If so, what varieties of cupcakes are typically available? Hours of operation?

There is not a single decent top end restaurant in Panama City. Period. Firefly is the only place that could even be considered to meet most people's criteria for fine dining, and it's terrible IMO. 30 Degree Blue at Bay Point was terrific, but is gone now. I don't count The Terrace as a PC...

What's the hold up? I'm anxious to try it out.

I'm probably going to check it out this weekend, along with the new Lake Place. Went to "old faithful", Cafe 30A last night. That place never disappoints me.

They reopened at Henderson Park this week.

One of my favorite Emerald Coast institutions returns on March 1, relocated to the Inn at Henderson Park on Old 98. Can't wait! Sadly, Creehan is NOT re-opening Copper Grill.

I didn't notice their sign on the south side of 98 when I drove by Saturday. Is the place out of business? I hope not, as I've always liked it.

I tried to get in Saturday, but they were slammed till closing. I "settled" for Fleming's, and it was excellent. Very comparable to Seagar's, Chops and Ruth's Chris.

I haven't been to the restaurant since the present chef took over. I used to love their crab cake entree, and was very disappointed to not see it on their current online menu. I also got a negative review of the place from a group who dined there recently. Has the place really gone downhill?

....Or just beer and wine?

Anybody heard what eateries are in the works for Grand Boulevard?
