1 bedroom place@108 country club dr. off 393 near gulfplace. call 622-1962

My lease will be up in the beginning of March, and I will be looking to move a little closer to my job, and this sounds like a really great location. Would you mind sending me a PM with the details? I'm a non-smoker with no pets.

    Point Washington Manhunt Over

I'm definitely glad the threat is gone, and I certainly don't feel any sympathy for the man. I do, however, feel some pity for his parents, who, I'm sure, will be heartbroken to hear the news of their son's wrongdoings and eventual death. They are in my prayers, as are the families of everyone...

    Point Washington Manhunt Over

Agreed, aggieb. "No man is an island, Entire of itself. Each is a piece of the continent, A part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less. As well as if a promontory were. As well as if a manner of thine own Or of thine friend's were. Each man's death diminishes me...

    Graffiti Restaurant in Carillon

I wish I could say it was still open, SWGB. It was a nice convenient 5-minute drive from my house. I moved over to the Sandestin location in November.

Fonville Press In The Wrong Direction?

I don't know what they're using now, but when I worked at Fonville, we used whole bean coffee and espresso from Amavida and ground it fresh for every pot of coffee. Knowing the high standards held by Alys Beach and Fonville Press, I would wager a guess that they have kept with that tradition.

    Tenor Sax - $1000 obo

So, I have decided to sell my saxophone. I really don't want to, but I am having trouble paying my bills this month. So. If anyone is interested, here is the product in question: Stephanhouser Tenor Saxophone Purchased for $2000 in 2003. I'm asking $1000 for it but I am willing to negotiate the...

A Taste of OZ opens to the public [now closed]

It was certainly a treat to see you and sbartoldus, too! A short and sweet review of the food: YUM. My grandparents each got the steak pie, and I got the curried chicken pie. Normally I steer clear of anything that says "curried" on it, since most places over-season their curries to the point...

    Senior Mojito's -- closed permanently

Ooh, I can't wait to try this place! I may have to check it out on my night off. One of the bartenders used to work with me at Carillon, and he makes the best Mojito I've ever had. If you're jonesing for a good mojito, go in and ask for Alex.

    Seagrove Cakemaker

Renee from Fatty Patty's is also fantastic! She's out here in PCB (not too far from 30-a, so no need to panic!) but she's definitely worth the trip!

    graffiti carillon

I'm going to be working at the Baytowne location. Same job, farther drive. Worth it in the long run, but I'll miss Carillon.

    graffiti carillon

Graffiti Carillon is now closed. We decided to shut down earlier this week and yesterday was our last day in business. Thanks to all of you who came out and dined with us! It's been a pleasure serving you, and we hope you'll come visit us at Baytowne or at the newly revamped Destin location.

    Tornado Rider 10/22 at Pandora's

Tornado Rider will be playing tonight at Pandora's before heading off to Live Oak for MagFest. I got to see them last night, and WOW. It was definitely one of the most high-energy shows I've seen. Very interesting. You just have to see it for yourself. These guys are from out of town, so go...

    Vegetable Oil for biodiesel

Anyone use vegetable oil for biodiesel in their vehicle? I have about 20 gallons of used oil from the fryer here at work. It's yours if you can come pick it up. If interested, send me a PM.

    Software to manage a restaurant

I would imagine you're going to have a difficult time finding one that's free. If you are going to be running a restaurant, you really should invest in a reliable POS program that will help you run your business successfully. I don't know the price as I wasn't there when the system was put in...

    Beijing Olympics

No kidding! That Jonathan Horton kid was getting on my nerves when they won the Bronze last night. The other guys were kind of obnoxious, but he took the cake. Even the basketball team didn't come across as that arrogant.

    Beijing Olympics

As of today, Phelps is at 9 total gold medals. I agree with singinchicken... he'll pass them. He's quite an incredible athlete. As for ego, I can understand that. I still think it's cool that he's barely older than me, and he's shattering records and making history.

    Beijing Olympics

The more I watch, the more excited I get. I have always loved the Olympics, and this year is no exception for me. Anyone else watch the USA/China Men's Basketball game this morning? I am only just starting to get into basketball, so I don't fully understand it yet, but I really enjoyed that game.

    Beijing Olympics

WOW!!! What a race! USA completely destroyed France in the Men's 400m Relay in Swimming. I was jumping up and down in my apartment and cheering. My downstairs neighbors quite obviously heard me and started banging on their ceiling. I yelled down "Sorry!" and they yelled back up: "GO USA!" 2...

Driver Pulls Gun on Cyclists This Morning

If those restaurants were made specifically for tourists, they'd all close from September to March. But, they stay open, so I assume some locals are eating there. Also, it doesn't matter how stressed out or distraught the guy in the truck was. He had absolutely no excuse to pull a gun on those...

    Gulf coast comedy festival!

Those who were there for the final show last night got a special treat: Skelly made an appearance. :floor: Well.... he wasn't actually there. There was a picture of him in a slideshow, but the couple of SoWallers I was sitting with just about busted a gut when his picture came up.

    Gulf coast comedy festival!

Mousetraps! The video is really shaky... I was laughing too hard. Also, it's kind of hard to hear the performers, since the crowd was laughing so hard. But this is what you're missing if you haven't been to the Comedy Festival yet! One more night to enjoy some great entertainment! YouTube -...

    Criolla's Lunch

I had lunch with a friend at Criolla's a few days ago. We didn't try the truffle fries, but the sweet potato fries were fantastic. We also had the Smoked Gouda and Tomato Panini and the Curried Chicken Salad, both of which were out of this world!
