Need a 1 bd.-rm. and sofa sleeper for the nights of 3/26 & 3/27 near Seaside. Unfortunately, any accommodations that has availability will only rent for a 3 night minimum during the spring break week.

How close is the Cypress Hill development to Seaside? There is a listing for a small cottage for rent that claims you can walk to Seaside. :idontno:

Has anyone ever stayed there? Golfed there? We have an opportunity to go there for a couple of nights and just wondered. (Friends have a Marriott timeshare and are giving us some time they can't use.) Looking on the map, it's east of the beach/strip. etc., located on a lagoon.

O.K., having never stayed (or even seen) WaterColor, is it a terribly far walk from cottages that are located in the Park District &/or the Camp District to the beach? I think the latter must be very far, because of the considerably cheaper rates. We've viewed on-line a couple cottages on VRBO...

We're thinking of flying down for 3 days in February. I have forgotten, but what is the weather/temps. like in mid-Feb.? I know you can't swim, but would it be uncomfortable to walk the beaches, fly kites, etc.?

Since Pensacola Beach took more of a direct hit from Dennis, has anyone heard how badly they were hit, if their beaches are open? Erosion? I know they don't have the same type of sand dunes or bluffs like So. Walton.

I never see anything mentioned about Carillon. We considered renting a house there - - the rates were more affordable, but we never received very good customer service. I haven't been by there in years (or anywhere in the area for that matter) & wondering what's happened to the Carillon area.
