THE best kept secret in Sowal! We took our visiting kiddos to the Track in Destin, but stopped at the Diner first. WONDERFUL!! This made the best kid night out of their trip!! It is SO worth the drive - the best shrimp and grits ever. :wub:

Just had a WONDERFUL lunch at Shorty's - perfect gumbo, fried mahi sandwich and onion rings to die for. And of course, REAL key lime pie (yellow) with unsweetened real whipped cream. Great service from Alex. And a beautiful view of the Gulf. Doesn't get any better than that! Don't forget...

if you loved 331, you will also love louis louis - same decor (!), same owners, same menu. awesome! if you loved the old shades, you might not feel the same about the newest incarnation. pizza by the sea could be added to your list, barefoot barbecue, and la cocina. and maybe local catch.
