The Friends of Eden Gardens State Park invite the public to the annual Eden Gardens State Park Christmas Candlelight Open House on Saturday, December 16 from 5pm to 8pm. Enjoy the traditional walk through the luminaries through the Park to the Historic Wesley House and it’s beautifully decorated rooms. You'll be greeted by carolers and guided throughout the house to see and hear about each beautifully decorated room. Guests can even vote on their favorite room. After the tour is complete, the Friends of Eden will provide refreshments in the pavilion.

Many thanks to Friends of Eden Gardens State Park, volunteers, decorators, and many others from throughout the SoWal community for contributing your time and resources and making this Christmas holiday tradition so magical.

Members from the Pt. Washington Historical Society will be placing hundreds illuminations lining the drive into the park and around the mansion. This group of merry men and women comes together at Eden Gardens year after year, creating lighted pathways in and around the park. Thanks to the generous support of Harriett Crommelin of Cafe Thirty-A, Dave Rauschkolb of Bud & Alley's, and the Petits from The Red Bar and Louis Louis as they help fun supplies for luminaries every year.

The annual Christmas Candlelight Tour and Open House at Eden Gardens State Park is sponsored by Florida Park Services and Friends of Eden. Donations to the Friends of Eden always appreciated.

When touring the Wesley House during the Christmas open house, you'll discover every room beautifully decorated for the holidays. Decorators from all over South Walton come in in November and donate their time and skills to making holiday magic for all of us to enjoy. Here is a list of people and businesses who have decorated for Christmas 2017:

Destin Woman's Club decorated the downstairs entry way, upstairs hallway, and staircase with the theme of a "Victorian Christmas".

Karin Anderson of DRIFT from Crossings at Inlet Beach decorated the Sun porch to the theme of "Home for Christmas".

Members of Green Thumb Garden Club of Santa Rosa Beach found "Ms. Peacock and Mr. Plaid in the Parlor".

Ladies of Impact 100 "Blessed the Holiday Season" in the Dining room.

Members of the Pt. Washington Historical Society have invited their "Festive Feathered Friends" in the Library.

Going up the stairway decorated by Destin Woman's Club, the upstairs Sun porch is decorated by Debbie Schneider of Seagrove Garden Club. The theme is "American Christmas Tradition" - a tribute to all our Military and emergency personnel.

The Blue Bedroom has been decorated by Tricia Willis of Tricia Willis Design with the theme of "All Hearts Come Home for Christmas".

Tara Stacey of Premier Property Group has created "A Child's Christmas Dream" in the Pink Bedroom.

The Children's bedroom is decorated by the youngest members of our decorating team - the children of South Walton Montessori Academy with the theme of "A Children's Christmas".

And finally to the Red Bedroom, where Jacque Wright of Bungalow Home & Life has decorated the room to the theme of "The Nutcracker Suite".
