The Friends of Eden Gardens State Park invite the public to the annual Eden Gardens State Park Christmas Candlelight Open House on Saturday, December 17 from 5pm to 8pm. Enjoy the traditional walk through the luminaries through the Park to the Historic Wesley House and it’s beautifully decorated rooms. You'll be greeted by carolers and guided throughout the house to see and hear about each beautifully decorated room. Guests can even vote on their favorite room. After the tour is complete, the Friends of Eden will be providing refreshments in the pavilion.

This local tradition is a sight to behold each and every year in South Walton, FL.

Friends of Eden Gardens provides details about the decorations for 2016:
It's that time of year again - to decorate Eden for the Christmas Holidays. Local businesses and different Civic organizations have once again come together using their decorating skills to transform the Wesley House into a Christmas wonderland. The Friends of Eden and visitors to Eden can't thank these individuals enough for all that they contribute to Eden and our community.

The Destin Woman's Club will be decorating the Downstairs entry way, Upstairs hallway, and the staircase with the theme of "A Christmas Carol".

Anna Lisa Daniel of "Clay" on 30A will "Make a Joyful Song this Christmas" on the Sun porch.

Members of Green Thumb Garden Club of Santa Rosa Beach wish you "Yuletide Greetings" in the Parlor.

Russ Barley and Tim Ard of Emerald Coast Flowers and Gifts will be bringing "Christmas Elegance" to the Dining room.

Members of the Pt. Washington Historical Society will be having "Festive Feathered Friends gather for Tea" in the Library.

Going up the stairway decorated by Destin Woman's Club, the upstairs Sun porch is "A Victorian Christmas" by the Seagrove Garden Club.

Lynda Smith, Park Specialist, has decorated the Blue Bedroom with "A Woodland Christmas".

Across the hall, in the Pink Bedroom, Tara Stacey has created "A Child's Christmas Dream".

Moving on down the hallway (A Christmas Carol), is the Children's bedroom by the youngest members of our decorating team - the children of South Walton Montessori Academy with the theme of "A Children's Christmas".

And finally to the Red Bedroom, where Nicole Paloma and Rachel Nussbaum are busy with making the room a "White Christmas".

Members of Pt. Washington Historical Society will once more set up all the luminaries - the supplies for the luminaries are made possible thru the generous support of Red Bar's Ollie & Louie Petit, Bud & Alley's Dave Rauschkolb, and Cafe Thirty-A's Harriet Crommelin.

The Candlelight Open House will be Saturday, December 17th from 5 pm to 8 pm.

Carolers will be present on the porch, and the Friends of Eden will be serving refreshments in the Pavilion.

This yearly event is sponsored by Florida Park Services and the Friends of Eden - donations to the Friends will be appreciated.
