The group about which this film is based, has been all over the news lately. It is stirring up a lot of press lately, especially in the last few days.

From Yahoo news:
Dad of a fallen Marine perseveres against protests at military funerals

By Gordon Lubold Gordon Lubold Tue Mar 30

Washington ? A father of a Marine killed in Iraq says he won't pay the legal fees of a protest group who picketed at his son's funeral in 2006 ? at least not until he hears from the US Supreme Court on the matter.
[Update from The Newsroom: Bill O'Reilly has offered to foot the bill.]
Albert Snyder, whose son, Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder, was killed in Iraq, learned Friday that a federal appeals court is requiring him to pay more than $16,000 in legal fees to the Westboro Baptist Church, a Christian fundamentalist group that demonstrates during military funerals to gain attention for its antigovernment, antihomosexual message. The group rallied at Matthew Snyder?s funeral in March 2006 in Westminster, Md., chanting antigay slogans and carrying signs such as ?Thank God for dead soldiers,? says Albert Snyder?s attorney, Sean Summers.

We are so excited about this! It is going to be the kick off weekend of The Rep's "Dark House Series," a 3 week event featuring staged play readings, live music and independent films. The film maker of Fall From Grace is flying in from NYC for the showing and we're really excited to introduce him to the 30A area. Tickets will go on sale early next week and we encourage you to call early. This is going to be an awesome event!!

This was all over the morning news and talk shows today- and generating lots of discussion about the fact that maybe free speech can cross the line.....

It seems to be the one thing we can all agree on.

Kudos to O'Reilly for picking up the tab, though I hope these $%^@#$#@s end up having to pay their own legal bills, the father's, AND extra for pain and suffering.

Dennis Miller had much to say about the pack leader, and none of the words he chose were pleasant.
