At some point the Gulf will re-open but BEWARE - there will be DEADLY Rip Currents.
If you get caught in a rip current, the most important thing is DO NOT PANIC. It can be scary to be in the grip and feel you're being pulled away from shore but just relax and swim sideways. Even if you're pulled out to the end of the current you won't be that far and then swim sideways and back to shore.
