Florida v. Georgia - SCOTUSblog
Issue: Whether Florida is entitled to equitable apportionment of the waters of the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint River Basin and appropriate injunctive relief against Georgia to sustain an adequate flow of fresh water into the Apalachicola Region.
Nutshell: Due to Atlanta's growth, Georgia has been drawing so much water from the rivers (above) that is has reduced to flow that finally gets the Appalachicola Bay area. This action has decimated the oyster industry in that area. Let's hope this will help our neighbors over in Gulf County.
