B Modern Art Gallery will host its inaugural Parents’ Night Out on Friday, June 23, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Parents are welcome to drop off their children, ages 3 and up, and enjoy area restaurants, shops, and nightlife while their young artists make a special piece of art they can take home and hang on their wall.

Under the hands-on guidance of gallery owner Brandi Hezinger and her staff, each young artist will create a colorful modern art project while enjoying snacks, drinks, and music. “Our goal is to expand the children’s strategies and perspectives of contemporary art,” Hezinger said. “This helps children be creative and flexible thinkers, while their parents get to walk and have a nice dinner in Seacrest, Rosemary, or Alys Beach.”

The rate is just $20 per child. Parents should book spots by calling 850.708.2521. (You can also reply here or direct message me.)

The gallery, 30A’s newest, is located at 10343 East County 30A, just steps from the western edge of Rosemary Beach. Hezinger is an accomplished and professionally trained artist. She graduated from the Dallas Art Institute, studied mural painting in southwest France under acclaimed painter Michel Nadai, and studied printmaking and lithographs in Florence, Italy. She has operated her own art school and worked as a muralist across the United States. Hezinger has also been an integral part of Alys Beach design and construction for years, as owner-operator of Brandi Lee Designs.
