For 50 years, JLEC has been serving the needs of our community through the outstanding leadership and effective action of our volunteers. In 1979, the JLEC began the Child Clothing Project, which now clothes an average of over 400 children from Okaloosa and Walton Counties each year. Additionally, JLEC serves 6 schools throughout the district with the closet program, a year-round extension of the Child Clothing Project. JLEC hosts multiple fundraisers throughout the year that allow the project to continue to grow, including: Rock the Road 5k, Touch-a-Truck, and Down and Derby Fest, and is the benefiting charity of Best of the Emerald Coast.
