Kick off FFT's Back to School efforts by joining us August 24th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at our Santa Rosa Beach Pantry at 132 Market St.! Guests are asked to bring 5 food items or $5 for entry into the event. The event will feature the Mellow Mushroom Bake Bus, a raffle with great prizes, and fun for the whole family!

There's still time to become a Backpack Sponsor with a $500 donation or join the Food Drive Competition as a Food Drive Sponsor! There are 7 spots still open for our Food Drive Competition! Contact Food For Thought at info@fftfl.org to learn more and to get an early start on collecting food items! We expect this year to be another spirited competition!

Food For Thought now has five ways to provide hunger relief - weekly backpacks during the school year for students receiving free or reduced lunches to close the gap of missed meals over the weekend, monthly snacks provided to teachers in schools receiving Food For Thought services to fight immediate signs of hunger, holiday services to help feed families in need during long breaks from school including summer, garden initiatives at select schools and at the Destin Pantry, and now the Full Circle Kitchen to help provide skills and additional sources of food to some of the most at-risk students in Okaloosa and Walton counties.

As Food For Thought continues to grow, support from the community is needed more now than ever. The local nonprofit expects to grow by over 50% and take on 6 new schools and reach over 2,500 students during the 2017-2018 school year. If you or someone you know would like to donate time, funds, or services to Food For Thought Outreach please email info@fftfl.org or visit fftfl.org

Tiffanie Nelson, founder and Executive Director, has found a way to restock her organization’s supplies in time for the fast approaching school year while bringing the community together in a family-friendly environment. The event was such a success in its first year that the organization has continued the annual fundraiser and loves the annual food drive competition.

Guests are asked to bring 5 food items (suggested items include plastic jars of peanut butter, plastic jars of jelly, granola bars, fruit cups, snack crackers, and/or breakfast bars) or $5 for entry into the event.

Contact Tiffanie Nelson at info@fftfl.org if you are interested in one of the remaining sponsorship opportunities for the 3rd Annual Stock the Pantry Party or visit www.fftfl.org for more information.
