Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is always hosting great community events such as sunset paddles, stargazing, art classes in the park, ranger programs, music and family friendly events all year round. Thanks to a very active Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park group. Here's what's coming up this fall so far:

Sunset Paddle: Sept. 30
Join Topsail Hill Preserve State Park for a Sunset Paddle on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 from 5:00pm til 7:30pm. Experience Campbell Lake on a ninety minute Ranger guided paddling tour. Participants must be experienced canoers/kayakers over 12 yrs old.

Program is $40 per person. Space is limited. Advanced online registration is required and can be done at www.topsailparkfriends.org. Program fee includes watercraft rental, PFD, paddle, park admission fee, glow sticks, tram ride to Campbell Lake and a donation to the Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park. Program is weather dependent. In order to prevent the introduction of invasive species in to Campbell Lake, which is a rare Coastal Dune Lake, watercraft and gear from outside the park is not allowed.

Art in the Park with Carol Dickson: Oct 13

The final class for our 2017 Art in the Park series will be a Watercolor class on October 13. Join local artist Carol Dickson for an opportunity to create your own beautiful work of art. Class fees for the Watercolor class are $25 and include all materials needed. Regular park admission applies and is paid at ranger station on the day of class. All classes need a minimum of 5 participants to occur. Classes are limited to 10 participants and participants must be at least 12 years of age. Registration is due 7 days before class date and can be done in the park store or online at www.topsailparkfriends.org.

Breakfast with a Ranger: Oct. 14
Topsail Hill Preserve State Park invites you and your family to come out for Breakfast with a Ranger on the second Saturday of the month at 9am. Join the Rangers of Topsail Hill for a full service breakfast where visitors will learn about the history and wildlife of the park and ask the rangers all the questions you have been dying to ask.

This program is ideal for the whole family to enjoy. To cover the cost of food, please bring a donation which goes to the Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park ($5/adult and $3/child). All donations are used for various park enhancement projects and program supplies. Enter the park through the main gate and park staff will direct you to the Clubhouse.

Park programs are made possible by Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park. Come out and explore one of the most beautiful state park preserves in South Walton, Florida. Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, located on the west side of Scenic 30A in South Walton, offers a wide variety of natural resources including 3.2 miles of secluded, white sand beaches with majestic dunes over 25 feet tall. Three rare coastal dune lakes provide excellent freshwater fishing. Although boats are not allowed, fishing from the shoreline yields bass, bream, panfish, and catfish. Lakes, pristine beaches, old-growth long leaf pines, sand pine scrub, and a variety of wetlands offer a bird-watching and hiking paradise. Visitors may bike, walk, or enjoy a quick ride to the beach on our timely tram service to swim, fish, sunbathe, or beachcomb. Gregory E. Moore RV resort features a (non-heated) swimming pool and shuffleboard courts. Furnished bungalows are available for weekly stays. A camp store offers a variety of camping items, as well as snacks and drinks.
