WALTON COUNTY, Fla. – May 30, 2018 – From now through Labor Day visitors to South Walton can enjoy free day-use admission to Grayton Beach State Park and Topsail Hill State Park. The Walton County Tourist Development Council has covered the cost of entry to increase available parking for beach-goers during the peak visitation season, as well as raise awareness of the variety of eco-tourism activities in the area. Summer 2018 marks the fourth year of admission coverage for Topsail Hill State Park and the second for Grayton Beach State Park.

“This is our second year covering day-use admission to both state parks,” says Visit South Walton Director of Communications David Demarest. “It helps our parks, and provides a service to our visitors and locals alike, making hundreds of additional parking spots available with easy access to the beaches. The idea is to spread out visitation along South Walton’s 26 miles of beach, and make everyone’s experience more enjoyable.”

The free day-use admission is available to visitors during normal operating hours, generally 8 a.m. to sunset. The official kick-off of the event was Memorial Day weekend and free day-use admission extends through Labor Day Weekend.
