The Blue Angels are home for the annual Pensacola Beach Air Show this weekend.
Practice is July 9 & 10 at 2pm. The show is Saturday, July 11 beginning at noon!
One of our favorite weekend trips from South Walton is a drive over to Pensacola to visit the Naval Air Museum (at NAS Pensacola), stop off downtown for some Joe Patty's Seafood on the Pensacola Bay, and then head out to Pensacola Beach for lunch or a drink on the beach. On the way home, its great to stop for a hike at the the Naval Live Oaks National Seashore.
I haven't see the Blue Angels fly over the beach, but it would be incredible! Many viewers will be out in boats on the sound, and the beach will be completely packed. We enjoy going to the Blue Angels Homecoming Show in November on the Naval Air Station Pensacola where there is plenty of room for parking and seating.
