I have been doing a great deal of research on St Joe and Disney and the new airport to see what connections there may be and none seem to have held up on Sowal for any length of time.

I was speaking with someone out of Destin the other day who claims that Disney has bought into Wild Heron.

Again, I have read everything from Estrada and Allan Jackson to the Toll Road out of Birmingham to Jim Fowler to the Port in Panama City looking for truths on this. Lotsa good stories is all I found.

What might make someone think Disney has anything to gain in purchasing in the Panhandle?

It's a rumor that hasn't died for years and someone always seems to have "inside" information. I'm betting that whoever told you this little tidbit is probably trying to unload something.

00seer00 is our resident expert on all things Disney and Erik Estrada, but I haven't heard much from him lately.

Unload something? Try smoking something :rotfl: Disney can't even afford the taxes down there!

I'm intrigued now. How is Erik Estrada involved in this? Are they planning a CHiPs theme park in west PCB, or are they planning to have him market the development via infomercials?

...they were planning to have him market a development via infomercials.

Grab a beverage of your choice and some salty snacks as you read some of the oldies but goodies posts from "daze gone by." Some of the links on the posts won't work since...well...the bubble popped.

Well, then they'll never make it to Texas, because our property taxes here are twice what they are in FL!

We'll find out if Disney's supposed contract goes through in 2010, for the property east of Hwy 79, north of the new airport. I've never heard Disney and Wild Heron being used in the same sentence, until I read this thread.
