Join The Merchants of Seaside and YOLO Board for this wonderful event to benefit two local individuals! The celebration includes a fun-filled day on the water with morning paddleboard races beginning at 8AM, stand-up paddling demos, YOLO Yak fishing guide demos, silent auction-with amazing items (including a signed Drew Brees New Orleans Saints helmet, a surfboard from Billabong Grand Blvd, orginal works of art, and much more), a YOLO Yak raffle, and a concert from the popular Gulf coast group HERITAGE.
The 3 mile race will begin on Seaside Beach at 8AM, with the 1/4 mile races to begin at 9AM (and run to 1PM). The concert, awards presentation and YOLO Yak raffle will begin at 4PM in the Amphitheater.
Proceeds from the events will benefit both Holly Burke, an 18-year-old Destin resident suffering from clear cell sarcoma, a rare aggressive melanoma, and 28-year-old South Walton resident Jason Thompson, who is fighting a rare form of leukemia.
Seaside and YOLO Board are encouraging everyone to come out and ?stand up? in support of Holly and Jason. The family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
