This resort feature two regulation eighteen hole courses. The Bay Point Course has few obstacles, large greens, and flat terrain. It is a championship course that was ranked as one of North America's top 25 golf resorts in "Golf Illustrated" in 1990. The Lagoon Legend Course has water hazards coming into play on sixteen holes. This course was ranked 43rd by "Golf Digest" in its 1992 list of "Top 75 Resort Courses." It is a target course that requires many blind shots. First time players will be intimidated by this course. Some of the landing areas look very small, but are actually fifty yards wide. Hole #18, a 382-yard, par 4, requires a tee shot to an island landing area, which is still an Indian burial ground. The second shot is back to the mainland across a lagoon. The course is located next to the swamp on St. Andrews Bay, making for some very scenic views.

I played the Nicklaus course at Bay Point on 8/4/10 and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The pro shop staff were friendly and I was able to get a $50 green fee w/cart and range balls, probably because I teed off at 2:30pm and it was about 105 degrees!
I play off a 10 hcp and so I tried the course from the back tees, every single hole is a challenge and each is unique. A couple of the par 4's I could not reach in two, but if you can hit it 270 yards (straight :) you can make it there in regulation.
A lot of the holes are intimidating from the tee which is a little misleading, some of the greens are semi-blind from the fairway so it's worth taking a quick ride in the cart for a look before you play to the green.
The course is very scenic, especially on the front 9. The day I played it the course was in immaculate condition, fairways and greens were top notch, the greens were fast and rolled true. Considering the heat I think the golf course staff kept the greens in the best possible shape.
Another nice touch was that they had a guy in a cart coming round with cold towels to cool you off in the heat which were very welcome!
I have not played Camp Creek yet and from what I hear it is even better than Bay Point, having said that I would not hesitate to play the Nicklaus course again.
