When Blues Old Stand (named for a small town in their native Alabama) formed in Montgomery, AL in the early 90’s, all the old ideas about “What Southern Rock IS and IS NOT,” got turned upside down. Their sometimes ruckus, sometimes intimate, but always soulful blend of deep funk, roots rock and screamin’ blues made them one of the Southern college circuit’s favorite live acts.
