Another Broken Egg Café Hatches in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin

November 8, 2014 by SoWal Staff

Another Broken Egg Cafe (ABEC) celebrated the Grand Opening of its 39th location on Oct. 24 in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin. The upscale 4,500-square-foot Southern-inspired breakfast, lunch and brunch restaurant seats 110 guests inside and an additional 40 on the “al-fresco” style patio. According to President and Founder, Ron Green, the new location of ABEC created 30 new jobs in the area.

Prior to the restaurant’s official grand opening date, guests dined during ABEC’s Benefit Brunches for two local charities, Alaqua Animal Refuge and Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center. 210 guests dined at the Friday, October 24 Benefit Brunch for Alaqua Animal Refuge raising a total of $1,739 for the independent, nonprofit shelter. The following day, ABEC hosted 290 guests during the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center Benefit Brunch, raising $3,581. The money raised on Saturday will go toward the center’s continued mission of preventing child abuse and neglect in Okaloosa and Walton Counties and helping restore the lives of those already affected by such.

Guests dining at ABEC have plenty of tempting dishes to choose from, as the menu features fresh, nutritious Southern-inspired dishes. There are six varieties of Eggs Benedict, 11 gourmet omelette choices, an exceptional signature “Bananas Foster” Belgian Waffles, French Toast Sweet Potato Pancakes, Southern Crabstack, Biscuit Beignets, along with handcrafted burgers, specialty sandwiches and fresh salads. Each meal is carefully prepared to order with the highest quality and freshest ingredients available.

ABEC menu prices range on average from $8 to $15 and for breakfast cocktails, don’t miss the Mimosa, or the house specialty Bloody Mary priced at $5.99 each. ABEC’s Healthy Side menu, which includes Granola, Fruit & Quinoa, Gluten Free Friendly Jumbo Pancakes, the Skinny Omelette, Steel Cut Oats and Simply Salmon, are also available at this charming cafe.

Another Broken Egg Cafe is located in the furthest east side of Grand Boulevard in the Publix shopping center and is open 7 days a week from 7am – 2pm.
