Carmike Cinemas Boulevard 10 is SoWal’s Official Movie House

May 9, 2013 by Jill Tanner

Carmike Cinemas Boulevard 10 opened on March 28, 2013 and became an instant hit with the local community. The slow season for the theater has passed and the busy month of May is here. With Iron Man 3 now out, Carmike is prepared for the crowds. Buying tickets and snacks at Boulevard 10 couldn’t be easier. You just walk inside and buy your tickets with your concessions. Carmike gets you to your seat as fast as possible with just one transaction.

SoWal locals love the great specials Carmike has to offer. The Super Bargain Matinee is offered everyday from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. for just $5.50 for a movie ticket. And every Tuesday is “Stimulus Tuesday” with $2 popcorn, $2 candy, and $2 drinks. Ask for a rewards card so you can earn points for free tickets and concessions.

The “Big D” is Carmike Cinemas’ own large format theater with an edge-to-edge screen over three and a half stories high and over 60 feet wide. The “Big D” is a visual masterpiece and a feast for your ears.  The “Big D” is known for its Dimensional Sight, Dynamic Sound, and Deluxe Seating. Go see what all the talk is about at Boulevard 10 “Big D” Theater.

“The picture and sound made for the best movie experience ever. The whole theater was vibrating from the sound system. And the popcorn with extra butter and a Coke Icee made it perfect,” said a SoWal Local just leaving a movie at the “Big D.”

The Ovation Club is the other unique theater at Boulevard 10. The full-service dining theater became a local favorite overnight. People just love to eat a yummy dinner while watching a wonderful film. And the menu has something for everyone – pizza, sandwiches, scallops, crab cakes, wings, desserts - and beer and wine!

One local moviegoer said, “The prices are so reasonable and the service is fantastic! Just push the button when you need something and they come right away,” after catching a flick in The Ovation Club.

“The Boulevard 10 is an amazing addition to Grand Boulevard and fantastic entertainment option for Walton County and the surrounding area. Our locals and visitors appreciate the convenience of having a first-class movie theater experience and not having to drive so far for it. It offers uniquely exciting auditoriums, including the BIG D and Ovation Dining Club, where you can enjoy a fine menu, adults beverages and a great movie,” says Stacey Brady, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Grand Boulevard at Sandestin.

Many South Walton visitors have Carmike Cinemas theaters where they live and know to expect the best. There is no doubt that this theater will soar even higher when summer begins. Are you ready for a cinematic adventure? Carmike Cinemas makes going to the movies an experience not to be forgotten.
