Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart Hosting Pediatric Symposium in Sandestin May 23-26

The Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart is hosting the 45th Annual Pediatric Symposium at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa May 23-26. Pediatric healthcare professionals will come together to learn about best practices and develop tools to advance children's healthcare.

The Symposium is designed to give primary care providers of children information on the latest developments for diagnosing, treating, and managing the pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patient. Educational tracts will focus on Environmental, Hot Topics, Best Practices, and Pediatric Policy with American Academy of Pediatrics representatives.

Leading healthcare experts presenting topics include: Sandra G. Hassink, MD, FAAP, President-Elect, American Academy of Pediatrics; Mobeen H. Rathore, MD, CPE, FAAP, FIDSA, FACPE, President, Florida Chapter, America Academy of Pediatrics; Roderick K. King, MD, MPH, Executive Director, Florida Public Health Institute.

Healthcare professionals and their guests will have plenty of down time to explore the Emerald Coast. Activities such as sandcastle sculpture lessons, a wine tasting and cooking demonstration, and a boat excursion to Crab Island are included in the registration price. Registration for recreational activities is required by May 1.

Early bird registration rates are available if received by April 14. Registration fees include certification fees, digital copies of session presentations, and meals/break refreshments. Planned activities are also included for registered participants and their guests on a space available basis.
