Discover the Natural Wonders of SoWal at the 11th Annual Back to Nature Festival

October 4, 2012 by Marla Burns

There are many reasons people come to visit South Walton, and even more reasons locals love to live here. Most everyone in SoWal enjoys the outdoors in all its wonder. It's where we find inspiration and creativity. We love exploring and learning about our unique coastal environment.

The 11th annual Back to Nature festival is one of the most popular ways to accomplish all of the above in a weekend full of opportunities to explore, discover, and expand our knowledge of the natural beauty that is South Walton. This year’s festival takes place October 18 – 21, and is once again produced by the South Walton Community Council (SWCC) and happily sponsored by SoWal.com.

Rene Endres, event organizer says, “the festival offers the opportunity for locals and visitors to get connected…to the incredible, highly diversified environment of South Walton County. It is a time for us to remember…to celebrate nature and protect our natural resources. The SWCC gives a voice to the voiceless”.

At this wonderful fall festival, you’ll find everything from art, music and great food, to outdoor adventures with kayaking, hiking, biking, and ecotours including a river safari. Bring your family and friends out for a treat you won’t want to miss, and show your support for the community and the SWCC.
