Love Wins ... Period

February 10, 2017 by Kerri Parker

Sadly, some people don’t know how to love. But if given the chance to spend just a few minutes with Grayton local Cheri Peebles, she'll pass along her love recipe. It has one specific ingredient she's quick to share - grace.

“Grace is the bread of life. Not only grace for others, but you must give yourself grace,” says Cheri.

Cheri is known for her ‘hug in, hug out’ philosophy. She welcomes everyone she meets with a hug, and bids farewell with a hug. “Hugs are therapeutic. You can’t give one without getting one. It’s just as much for me as it is for you,” she says with a big smile.

Cynics may try to poke holes in her simplistic philosophy, but when you are good at something, you make it look easy. After many heartbreaks Cheri realized that creating a mantra that “love wins period,” she was able to focus her energy on grace. Grace is the ultimate virtue per Cheri, because we all make mistakes. It is grace that allows love to shine through during darker times, and helps each other find light.

As we celebrate the seemingly tall-order to love one another this Valentine’s Day, consider Cheri and her one fail-safe ingredient: grace!

Cheri and her son, Donald "Scooter" Reeder.

Cheri has been an anchor in Grayton Beach for many years - you'll find her at the helm of events at Grayton Beach Catering with son Donald, and at Beach To Bay Realty with husband Bob, next to Grayton Corner Cafe at 14 Clayton Lane, Suite 14 , Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459 (850) 231-5421.

Whatever you need, you come see us, says Cheri. We'll take care of you with love and a smile. Hug in, hug out!
