Marie's Bistro Thanks Walton County for a Great 2012
December 14, 2012 by SoWal Staff
What a year 2012 was for us at Marie’s Bistro. To start, we expanded the place tripling our original size, including a Full Bar and an area for nightly entertainment! Just those two things alone were enough to keep smiles on our faces, but to add to the mix, we realized that this new space also allows us to host special events such as holiday parties, rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, and more casual, yet special bridge club luncheons or even Sunday Night Dance Classes!
Although our biggest focus is staying true and in touch with the locals, (after all, we’re locals too and we know that local support has a direct relationship to a business’ success; thank you locals!) 2012 was also our second spring break and summer on 30a, allowing us to welcome back our seasonal patrons! That was particularly fun this year, as most everyone walked in starry-eyed trying to remember what the original space looked like! Those seasonal patrons also lead to an amazing article in the Birmingham City Scene. We knew our area had its handful of Birmingham supporters, but until this article, we had no clue to what degree! Of course, a huge warm hug goes to our Walton County Chamber of Commerce for a successful after hours and for their continued support! And what would we do without our local publications, The Northwest Florida Daily News, The Walton Sun, The Beachcomber, SoWal.com, 30a.com, and Emerald Coast Magazine. You all featured Marie’s Bistro at various points throughout the year and those acknowledgements put us on cloud nine!
It goes without saying, this year came with a lot of work! We want to send an extra special THANK YOU to our amazing staff and our partner Chef Mike Tran. Chef Tran, your one of a kind sushi menu and your unique weekly dinner offerings blow us away! Your hard work and dedication is why working with you is such an absolute pleasure!
For the year ahead, 2013 will be just as exciting! Our Catering Calendar is already starting to fill and on top of that, Mrs. Marie has breakfast on the Brain; so 30a will be in for a real treat! Drive Thru if you’re in a hurry or come inside and enjoy the paper, your favorite morning news program, and a warm cup of coffee or a delicious made to order breakfast meal to start the day off right! Lunch will still be available Tuesday – Friday 11-2, Happy Hour is Tuesday - Saturday 4-7 and again after 10, and Dinner: Tuesday – Saturday after 4 and Sunday Brunch from 11-2, our drive thru is also open during all our business hours!
Thank You Walton County for a great 2012,
Marie & Hanie Nasri
